Ethan Parkhurst Announces Candidacy for Oswego County Legislature, District 25

FULTON – Ethan Parkhurst has announced his candidacy for the Oswego County Legislature’s 25th District, seeking to represent residents of the Fulton area at the county level.

Parkhurst, a former City of Fulton Fourth Ward Common Councilor and local business owner, said his decision to run is rooted in his experience serving the community and his belief that Fulton needs a strong and consistent voice in county government where the county government works with the city.

“I’ve seen firsthand the challenges facing our community, but I’ve also seen the tremendous potential we have,” Parkhurst said. “Fulton deserves to have a seat at the table when decisions are being made that affect our taxpayers, our infrastructure, our businesses and our families. I’m running because I want to make sure our community’s voice is heard.”

Parkhurst owns and operates PCW Professionals, a construction and general contracting business, as well as On-The-Spot Hydraulics LLC, a mobile hydraulic hose service. He said his experience as both a small-business owner and former elected official has given him an understanding of the pressures facing residents, municipalities and local employers.

A central focus of Parkhurst’s campaign is strengthening the working relationship between the City of Fulton and Oswego County.

“There is too much at stake for the city and county to operate as though they are separate worlds,” Parkhurst said. “Whether we’re talking about infrastructure, economic development, public safety, housing or services for our residents, cooperation matters. I want to help build that relationship and make sure Fulton is represented when opportunities and resources are discussed.”

Parkhurst said he also intends to emphasize transparency and accessibility in office, including keeping residents informed about county issues and being available to hear concerns directly.

“I’ve never believed that public service should be about a title,” Parkhurst said. “It’s about being accessible, doing the homework, asking difficult questions when they need to be asked and working with people even when you don’t agree on everything.”

Parkhurst has received the endorsement of the Oswego County Republican Committee, the Oswego County Conservative Party and the Fulton City Republican Committee.

“My campaign is going to remain focused on the people who live here and the future of this community. We need to repair the relationship that has gone estranged for far too long between the city of Fulton and the county of Oswego. ” Parkhurst said. “I’m asking the residents of District 25 for the opportunity to represent them, work for them and make sure Fulton has a strong voice in Oswego County government.”
