OSWEGO COUNTY – On August 26th, 2025, at around 5:31 PM, members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at the intersection of State Route 104B and County Route 6 in the Town of New Haven.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2024 Honda motorcycle was traveling west on State Route 104B when the operator attempted to make a left-hand turn onto County Route 6 and collided with a 2006 Ford F350 pickup truck that was traveling eastbound on State Route 104B. The operator and passenger in the truck were uninjured. The operator and sole occupant of the motorcycle was identified as Scott Awe, and he was pronounced dead on scene. Scott was 21 years old and a resident of New Haven.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, New Haven Volunteer Fire Department, the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, and Menters Ambulance.
The incident is still under investigation.
