7th Annual Hunter Arms Homecoming: August 18, 19

FULTON, NY – Join us for the 7th Annual Hunter Arms/L.C.Smith Homecoming Weekend, August 18th and 19th, 2017 hosted by the Friends of History in Fulton, N.Y., Inc.

This two-day event will include special displays (August 19th) at the Pratt House Museum, a shoot, and a dinner during which trophies will be awarded.

The museum houses a collection of HUNTER ARMS / L.C. SMITH shotgun/memorabilia on the second floor.

During this special weekend, the first floor of the house will be transformed into a museum of “Elsies” shotguns, individually crafted by the artisans who were employed by the Hunter Arms Company.

Displays will be available from Noon until 5:00 P.M. on the 18th and from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. on the 19th.

There is no charge for admission, but a donation of $5.00 would be welcomed.

The John Wells Pratt House Museum, located at 177 S. First St., Fulton, NY, is an Italianate style home built in 1861 by John and Harriet Pratt.

It hosts a number of permanent displays highlighting Fulton’s history as the city that the Depression missed.

Other unusual features of the house include elaborate etchings on the interior front doors, marble fireplaces,
built in marble “corner sinks” in the bedrooms, and one of first inside homes to have an inside privy.
