Submitted Article

OSWEGO, NY – For the families and campers of the Greater Oswego area there lays a hidden treasure, right on the shore of Lake Ontario.

Camp Hollis has been one of Oswego’s most hidden, and time-honored treasures for nearly 80 years now.

Treasure seeking campers and their families are invited to come and see what Camp Hollis has in its chest of gems during an open house slated for June 8, from 1 – 5 p.m.

Campers will have an opportunity to see what a week at camp is like with a sample of the various activities it offers in the way of sports, recreation, arts and crafts, campfires, and cabin life.

Campers that come to the open house will also have an opportunity to participate in a variety of games and a real treasure/scavenger hunt.

Parents and guardians of campers will have Camp Hollis staff and members of the Friends of Camp Hollis board available for questions.

Cabin and grounds tours will also be offered to get a feel for the full camping experience.

Light refreshments, sponsored by Oswego Health will be served.

Camp Hollis offers camping to ages 8-14 years old for an income based fee.

Eligible campers may apply for a partial or full scholarship.

Applications are available by contacting the Oswego County Youth Bureau at 349-3451. missing or outdated ad config
