Oswego Sheriff’s Deputies received information that 42 year old Quentin J. Hicks of 519 Rochester Street in Fulton was trying to hire another man to kill Hicks’ wife.

At the onset of the investigation, Oswego Sheriff’s Investigators notified the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, as the intended victim is a resident of Onondaga County.

Also notified was the Fulton City Police Department, as Hicks owns several properties around Fulton and was likely living there.

Each agency worked on a different aspect of the investigation, which revealed that items were exchanged between Hicks and another co-conspirator to further the murder of Hicks’ wife.

The case culminated in the arrest of Hicks on June 23, at about 8:50 p.m.  Sheriff’s Investigators affected a search warrant of Hicks’ Rochester Street home.

Hicks was charged with Conspiracy in the Second Degree, a Class B felony. He was arraigned before Fulton City Court Judge Spencer Ludington and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 cash bail or $1,000,000 bond.

Hicks is scheduled to re-appear in the Fulton City Court on June 27.

As the investigation continues, more charges may be added.
