Arrest Made After Search Warrant Conducted

Jeremy Wayne Collins, age 25, Fulton, New York was arrested on September 17, 2009. The investigation by the City of Fulton Police Department resulted in the execution of a search warrant at the residence of Jeremy Wayne Collins at 212 West Third Street South, in the City of Fulton. Collins was found to possess approximately 52.1 grams of powder cocaine in 48 separate plastic bags. Collins was charged with the following:

  • Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 3rd class B Felony (2 counts)
  • Criminal Using Drug paraphernalia class B Misdemeanor (2 counts)
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd class A Misdemeanor

The investigation revealed that the defendant possessed the powder cocaine, which weighed an aggregate of 1.8 ounces with the intent to sell, while using plastic packaging and possessing digital scales. A metal knuckle handled knife was also recovered from the residence.

Jeremy Wayne Collins was arraigned in front of City of Fulton Judge Spencer J. Ludington who remanded Collins to the Oswego County Public Safety Center in lieu of $10,000 bail. Collins’ next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday September 23, 2009 at 9:00 AM.

Hope A. Whitby, age 18, Fulton was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a violation, and was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Fulton City Court on October 1, 2009.
Whitby is accused of possessing a small plastic bag containing green leafy substance consistent in appearance to that of marihuana.
