Board Names New Granby Principal

Submitted by Fulton City School District

FULTON, NY – At the May 28 meeting of the Fulton Board of Education, Heather J. Perry was appointed to the principal position at Granby Elementary School.

Perry will replace Barbara Hubbard, who had announced her retirement, effective at the end of August.

Perry earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Buffalo and a master’s degree in elementary education from SUNY Oswego. She also completed a certificate in advanced studies in education administration at SUNY Oswego.

Prior to her appointment, Perry served as a fourth-grade teacher at Volney Elementary School. This year, she is completing an administrative internship.

Following the appointment, Superintendent Bill Lynch said, “Heather brings a sincere commitment and dedication to the education and well being of our students.

“As a classroom teacher, her passion was to help all children achieve success,” Lynch added. “During Heather’s administrative internship, she has worked hard to develop the skills necessary to achieve success as a building leader.”

Lynch noted, “Heather is a former student of the Fulton City School District, so it is particularly exciting to see her continue her professional career in the community. I am confident that Heather will continue to support the outstanding faculty and staff at Granby Elementary School in their initiatives for continued success.”

Perry will transition to her new position during the summer. missing or outdated ad config
