A teenager boy drowned Sunday while swimming in Kasoag Lake in Williamstown.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department says Joshua A. Spicer, 14, of 39 Beaver Lodge Road, Altmar was swimming in the lake at midafternoon when someone found him unresponsive in the water. Police and rescue workers were called at about 3:40 p.m.
They retrieved Spicer from the water and rushed him to Rome Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are continuing to investigate the death.
