On April 19, at approximately 12:09 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on Seventh North Street in the town of Salina for a traffic violation.

The operator, Randy J. Derochie, 27, of Central Square, was found to be operating without a license, and with a suspended registration, police said.
Further investigation revealed he was also allegedly in possession of crack cocaine, marijuana and various drug paraphernalia.
Derochie was taken into custody and transported to SP North Syracuse where he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a class “A” misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
Derochie is scheduled to appear in the Town of Salina Court on April 28 at 4 p.m.
