City of Fulton closes Oneida Street bridge to pedestrian traffic

FULTON – Heavily corroded bottom pedestrian fencing pipe presents a safety hazard on the Oneida Street bridge in the City of Fulton.

The pedestrian fencing at both the left and right fascia in all spans are heavily corroded and broken in sections, mainly on bottom pipes.

City of Fulton is taking action today to close the Oneida Street bridge to all pedestrian traffic effective immediately, after the bridge was inspected by the New York State Department of Transportation personnel.

This in no way effects vehicular traffic.  The City of Fulton is asking that all pedestrians comply and refrain from using the bridge as a footpath and is requesting not to walk in the road of the bridge as a substitute.
