FULTON – The City of Fulton Republican committee announced today that it proudly endorsed incumbents Mike Farhnam and Rhonda Campoleita to represent the 1st and 2nd wards respectively at its endorsement meeting last night. In addition, the committee proudly endorsed newcomers to elected office, Brandon Buske and Brandi Clonch as its picks to represent the 4th and 6th wards. At its January meeting, the committee endorsed Mat Overton as 5th ward representative.
“We are excited about our slate of city candidates and thrilled to support them as we enter petition season next month and the election in the fall. These candidates are young and energetic, hold strong Republican values, and wish to see our city move forward and make some improvements in local government,” said Beth Nicholson, Chair of the City of Fulton Republican committee.
County Legislators are also up for election this year. To that end, the committee proudly endorsed candidates whose districts include portions of the city including: incumbent and retired Granby highway superintendent Mike Solowy for the 23rd District; James Hanlon, a Navy veteran, for the 25th District; Volney resident and incumbent Linda Lockwood for the 11th District; and Granby resident and business owner Travis Doty for the 22nd District.
“We’ve got some great, new candidates who are passionate about our area and I’m confident that they will represent the city well,” said Nicholson.
The committee will provide opportunities for the public to meet the candidates in the coming months. Stay tuned for announcements.
