City of Fulton Virtual Christmas Tree Lighting To Be Held December 9

FULTON – Join Mayor Deana Michaels for the 2020 Fulton Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Facebook Live at Facebook.com/FultonParksandRec on December 9 at 5 p.m.

In order to keep residents safe, this year’s ceremony will be virtual or by drive by viewing. Residents will be able to drive down the southbound lane of S. 1st Street from Oneida Street to Broadway to see the tree, wave to Santa Claus, see Fulton police and fire vehicles’ flashing lights and get free candy canes. People won’t be able to get out of their cars. The northbound lane of South First Street will be blocked off.

“My top priority will always be the safety of the residents of the City of Fulton,” Michaels said. “While we can’t gather together this year in our traditional ways, we can still celebrate the joy of the Christmas Season. We will remain safe and responsible, while we commemorate the Christmas season in a festive and fun way for all. I look forward to everyone joining us both virtually and for the drive by viewing.”

The City’s traditional Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be on December 9 at 5 p.m.. The Ceremony will be live streamed on Facebook.com/FultonParksandRec. Mayor Michaels will welcome everyone and give Christmas greetings, the Christmas tree will be lit and then socially distanced Carolers from the Fulton Alliance Church will perform.
