FULTON, NY – Rebecca Bettinger, RN, patient-community educator at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, has announced the hospital’s schedule of community events and health screenings for the month of June.
The schedule is as follows:
Support Group meetings:
June 17: Caring-N-Sharing Breast Cancer Support Group annual family picnic, 6 p.m., Sheriff’s Silver Star Hall on Hannibal Street; bring dish to pass and beverage. Call Liz Schremp, 592-7468, for details.
Free Blood Pressure Screenings for Seniors:
June 10: 1:30 p.m. Fulton Mill Apartments, 265 W. First St., Fulton 593-2738.

Special Events:
June 11: 1 a.m. – 4 p.m. Red Cross Blood Drive onsite at Lee Memorial Hospital, Conference Room A. Make appointment by calling 591-9664 or walk in. Open to the public.
June 12: 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. “Healthy, Wealthy & Wise†third annual fundraising raffle prize drawings and chicken barbecue, in parking lot on South Fourth Street across from hospital E.R. Half-chicken dinners $8; quarter-chicken dinners $6. Music by Joe Whiting and Loren Barrigar. Door prizes, 50/50 drawing. Raffle prize drawings begin at 5:30 p.m., with $15,000 in cash prizes. June 21: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Men’s Health Fair at Lee Memorial Hospital, in partnership with Urologist Dr. Felix Oben’s office. Prostate screening tests offered. Education and information about prostate health. For more information, call 598-6946.
