Camden Man Dies In Constantia Logging Accident

At about 8:20 a.m.May 3, the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate the death of a 45-year-old man in a logging accident.

It occurred on Cook Road in the town of Constantia.

Jerald V. Platt, of Camden, was logging in the area when a tree he was cutting fell on him, deputies report.

Platt succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The victim was taken to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office for a post mortem exam.
