CPR – AED Class Set For The Professional Rescuer

OSWEGO, NY – On June 14 the American Red Cross will be offering a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer class at the Oswego County Branch office located at 333 W. First St.

The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

This class teaches those with a duty to act with the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies.

The instruction includes use of the automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim of cardiac arrest.

This class identifies the responsibilities and characteristics of a professional rescuer, lists the series of events that occur when the EMS system is activated, outlines the legal considerations that affect the professional rescuer and teaches the responder to recognize and provide appropriate care for breathing emergencies, and other life threatening injuries and illnesses.
