Donations & Volunteers Needed: 11th Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Several local chuches and agencies team together to provide a free community Thanksgiving dinner to anyone in seek of a place to enjoy a hot holiday meal with company.

FULTON, N.Y. – Financial donations and volunteer help are needed for this year’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner to be held on Thursday, November 24 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at First United Church of Fulton at 33 South Third Street in Fulton.

The free sit down dinner is open to everyone, and features a complete Thanksgiving Dinner and an opportunity for good food and fellowship.

Checks can be sent to the First United Church of Fulton, 33 South Third Street, Fulton, NY 13069.

Interested volunteers may call Dinner Chairperson Carol Dexter at (315) 592-5162.

An organizing committee consisting of representatives of several Fulton Churches and The Salvation Army is busy planning the eleventh annual dinner.

“It has become such a community effort and a wonderful holiday tradition,” Dexter explained. “Over 200 meals were served last year.”

First United Church of Fulton is located at 33 South Third Street in Fulton, between Cayuga and Utica Streets.

There is off-street parking and the facility is handicapped accessible.
