Fulton, NY – State Police in Fulton are investigating a fatal one-car crash that occurred on State Route 48 in the town of Granby.
The investigation revealed a 2001 Saturn, being driven by 52 year-old, John F. Flugel, from 505 Pratt Street in Fulton, was traveling northbound on State Route 48 at approximately 8:21p.m. Saturday when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and went off the east shoulder of the roadway.
The vehicle then struck a sign post and culvert at Windmere Drive and landed on its roof top.
Mr. Flugel was pronounced deceased at the scene.
