Rick Grosvent shared pictures with us of a barn fire in Palermo that happened late Tuesday afternoon. Rick, who is an emergency medical technician and a photographer, said the fire was on Red School House Road, reported at around 5:00 p.m.
The barn was 1000 feet from the road, so Palermo firefighters had to run 1000 feet of hose to get to it.
He said the barn appeared to have been full of hay and was a total loss.
Firefighters from New Haven, Volney and Pennellville provided mutual aid.
