FULTON – On August 21, 2023, the City of Fulton Police were made aware of a possible sexual abuse which occurred earlier in the year at an address in the City. An investigation revealed that a female employee of Oswego County Opportunities had been engaged in an inappropriate, sexual relationship with a male who was 16 years old at the time of the incidents. The suspect had been employed at a youth shelter that Oswego County Opportunities runs in the City of Fulton, and had met the victim through the course of her employment there. The suspect eventually had the victim move into her home, where she engaged in sexual intercourse with him approximately five times. On 09/07/23, the suspect was arrested. She is identified as:
Lauren A. Woods, 31 years old, of Fulton
Charges: 1 count of Rape in the 3rd Degree – Class E Felony
1 count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Class A Misdemeanor
