Carnegie funded the library to come to Fulton. Carnegie was a primary benefactor of the library in Fulton.

There were games, birthday cake, juice and wonderful stories to be heard at the celebration.

Among the crowd were the library director and head librarian, representatives from Oswego County Cornell Cooperative Extension and many families in the area.

The cake served showed edible pictures of the first library and the most updated building.

The cake was created by Diane Sokolowski, owner of Treat Me Sweet.

The lead conversation was the need for library support.

The Friends of Fulton Public Library members encouraged others to get involved and become an active member of the library.

‘The internet was intended to be part of a library – not to take the place of the library,’ according to the Friends.

Friends of Fulton Public Library members include Charles Potter, SallyAnn Danforth, Mary Ellen Ross, Linda Rossiter, Jessica Naioti and Sarah Conley.

With the funds raised by the library, the colorful rug was purchased for the Children’s Room downstairs at the Fulton Public Library.

There are many classes and events that are held at the Fulton Public Library.

On Thursdays at 4 p.m., there is a free Lego club for children.

Children won gift certificates to Arby's and Tim Horton's for being successful golfers.
