FULTON – The City of Fulton is proud to announce the successful implementation of a community solar rollout in partnership with Community Solar Authority. This groundbreaking initiative has generated significant savings of over $90,000+ annually for the city, further solidifying Fulton’s commitment to sustainable practices and clean energy. The project, executed in collaboration with Mayor Rice and his dedicated team, exemplifies Fulton’s dedication to enhancing sustainable initiatives for the municipality. As a certified Clean Energy Community through the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), Fulton continuously strives to innovate and lead by example in the CNY community. Mayor Rice expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “This partnership is a testament to what can be achieved when local government and forward-thinking companies work together. We are proud to be at the forefront of clean energy initiatives, have worked hard to become a certified clean energy community, and executing community solar means substantial savings on future electricity costs too.” Community Solar Authority served as expert consultants and guided the successful execution of this project after winning an RFQ put out by the city. With over a half-decade of experience delivering turnkey access to community solar for large electricity users, they leveraged their experience to maximize savings. By providing the City of Fulton access to the program, Community Solar Authority has demonstrated its commitment to serving the CNY community. “I grew up fifteen minutes down the road from Fulton. It’s been an honor to collaborate with the mayor and support their local initiatives knowing we’re impacting central New York in a positive way,” said Dakota Malone, Co-Founder at Community Solar Authority. “The City of Fulton has demonstrated their commitment to becoming a more resilient municipality- and we look forward to continued projects.” As Fulton continues to build on its reputation as a Clean Energy Community, the city remains dedicated to implementing innovative solutions that benefit both the environment and its residents.
