Fulton’s 2011 city budget will be discussed and is likely to be enacted at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Fulton Common Council.
Mayor Ron Woodward has said he will deliver a budget with no tax increase for 2011.
He had been maintaining that the city would achieve a zero-increase budget without cutting services or jobs, but recently surprised workers and even some Aldermen with the sudden decision earlier this month to cut 5 full-time positions, affecting 4 full-time employees and 2 part-time employees.
Tuesday’s meeting with feature Woodward’s budget address and a public hearing, followed by a scheduled vote on the budget.
