Tuesday evening’s meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Danato Raponi. Danato has 20 hours of community service to fulfill a graduation requirement. He attends the Mexico School District and is in the top 25 in his class. The mayor explains more at the beginning of the video.
All Resolutions were passed except #5, Authorization for the issuance of a bond for Energy Performance Improvements and Street Lighting System. This was tabled by request from Councilor Avery.
1. Resolved to approve the minutes from the May 7, 2024 Council Meeting.
2. Resolved to authorize the City Clerk/Chamberlain to advertise for a public hearing relative to amending the City Charter Section C263A entitled “West Broadway Parking Improvement District.”
3. Resolved to authorize the City Clerk/Chamberlain to advertise for a public hearing relative to amending the City Charter Section C263 entitled “Canalview Off-Street Parking Improvement District.”
4. Resolved to authorize the City Clerk/Chamberlain to advertise for a public hearing relative to amending the fees for the collection and disposal of prohibited waste materials.
5. Authorization for the issuance of a bond for Energy Performance Improvements and Street Lighting System. – TABLED
6. Notation to appoint Elizabeth Conners to the Civil Service Commission.
7. Notation that the City Assessor filed a Statement of Disclosure with the City Clerk/Chamberlain.
8. Notation that the Single Audit Report was filed with the City Clerk/Chamberlain.
