Fulton Man Accused Of Hit-and-Run Of Neighbor’s Child

A Fulton man’s accused of running into a teenager with his car, then driving away.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department says Pedro Lugo, 65, of 33 Somers Drive, drove onto the shoulder of Somers Drive. His car hit Tiffany Y. Phelps, 16, of 11 Somers Drive. Police allege he drove off without waiting for help to arrive for Phelps.

Lugo’s charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, driving on the shoulder of the road and making a false written statement to police about where he was when the accident happened.

He’ll be in town of Granby court on July 28 for the traffic charges and in City of Fulton court on July 31 to answer the misdemeanor false statement charge.
