Fulton Man Facing Drug, Fraud Charges

OSWEGO, NY – A Fulton man is facing a variety of charges after being arrested Monday at the Oswego County Correctional Facility.

At about 1:34 p.m., deputies charged Kyle Thomas Keith Sr., 49, of 16 Taylor Ave., Fulton, with unlawful growing of cannabis, a class A misdemeanor and second-degree criminal possession of marihuana, a class D felony.

The arrest stems from an investigation into a separate incident in which he was allegedly found to have marihuana plants growing in his residence with a value of $10,000.

At the same time, Keith was arrested for fourth-degree welfare fraud, a class E felony; fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony; and three counts of first-degree offering to file a false instrument, a class E felony.

These charges are the result of an investigation conducted by the Oswego County Department of Social Services and the Sheriff’s Office in which Keith allegedly received HEAP services from December 2008 through September 2010 in the amount of $2,500 fraudulently by not disclosing information regarding his identity.
