Fulton Pair Injured In Scriba Crash

SCRIBA, NY – At about 11:40 a.m. today (Feb. 8), the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a personal injury automobile crash on State Route 104 near Schaad Drive in the town of Scriba.

The investigation revealed that a 1997 Nissan Quest was being operated westbound on State Route 104 by 30-year-old Gemoi Gonzalez of 516 Highland St., Fulton.

Also in the vehicle was 58-year-old Austaquio Canales who was in the front passenger seat.

Canales also listed his address at 516 Highland St.

Gonzalez claims that she swerved to avoid an uninvolved vehicle and struck a utility pole on the north side of State Route 104.

Both occupants were transported by Oswego Ambulance to Oswego Hospital for treatment.

Canales was later transported to University Hospital, Syracuse.

The Scriba Volunteer Fire Department also assisted.

No information was available as to the extent of their injuries.
