FULTON – The City of Fulton Police Department is expanding on its nearly decade long body worn camera program.

Through the use of seizure funds obtained during previous drug investigations the department was able to obtain new body worn cameras for each patrol officer. In the past the department had a very limited number of cameras, this sometimes caused officers to be without the use of a camera.

“This is an important step in protecting our officers and the community,” FPD said in a press release. “The expansion of the body worn camera program is seen as a positive step forward as we participate in the Governor’s Reform and Reinvention Collaborative.”
