Fulton Police Make Arrest After Report Of Shot Fired

FULTON – On October, 24th 2023 at approximately 12:46 AM Fulton Police were dispatched to a report of a possible shot being fired from a rifle in the area of Utica St. and S. Fourth St.  Officers responded to 323 Rochester St., which is in the area of the original call location, and is known to law enforcement from numerous previous complaints.  Once there, they located evidence that a shot had been fired. Further information was received that the suspect was operating a white U-Haul van and had left the area.  A short time later Fulton Police officers located the van traveling southbound on Park St. and conducted a felony stop on the vehicle. Two subjects were detained and a .22 caliber Springfield Model 120A bolt action rifle was located inside of the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was subsequently arrested for the shot fired incident and is identified as:

Kurt C. Decker, 30 years old, of Phoenix, NY

Charges: 1 count of Reckless Endangerment 1st  – Class D Felony

1 count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd – Class D Felony

Decker was later transported to the Oswego County Jail for Centralized Arraignment
