Fulton Police Make Gun Arrests

FULTON, NY – On September 13, 2023 at approximately 1:43 a.m., a City of Fulton Police Officer conductd a vehicle and traffic stop for traveling the wrong way down a one-way street in the City.

The two suspects in the vehicle initially fled on foot, however were located a short distance away. During the course of the investigation, Officers observed a loaded, Glock 17 9MM semi-automatic handgun located inside of the vehicle. The two suspects were subsequently arrested and are identified as:

Benny J. Wright, 27 years old, of Syracuse, currently on NYS Parole

Charges:

1 count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd – Class C Felony

1 count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd – Class D Felony

1 count of Criminal Possession of a Firearm – Class E Felony

1 count of Criminal Impersonation 2nd – Class A Misdemeanor

Various Vehicle and Traffic Violations

 

Charlie D. McGloun, 36 years old, of Syracuse

Charges: 

1 count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd – Class C Felony

1 count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd – Class D Felony

1 count of Criminal Possession of a Firearm – Class E Felony

Both suspects were later transported to the Oswego County Jail for Centralized Arraignment
