Fulton Rotarians Honor Vehrs for her Work in Literacy

At a recent Fulton Rotary Club meeting, Adult Education Teacher, Renae Vehrs, was awarded the Pride In Workmanship Award for her work in Adult Literacy.  Over the last 30 years, Renae and her team,  has helped 1,743 area adults earn their General Educational Development (GED) certificate.  This certificate is equivalent to the high school diploma.  Renae has her undergraduate and graduate degrees in English education from SUNY Oswego.  She previously taught in the Central Square and Hannibal School Districts before joining the Fulton Adult Education staff.  Renae's understanding and patience with the adult learner is legend.
