FULTON – In January 2023, the City of Fulton Police began investigating an employee of the Fulton Junior High School, who was allegedly stealing from the school.

The investigation revealed that the employee, a veteran technology/shop teacher had stolen multiple items from the school, including, but not limited to tools, consumable tool goods, and furniture.

On at least one occasion, the employee had students load some of the stolen items into his personal vehicle during the school day. On 01/26/23, a search warrant was executed at the employee’s residence in the Town of Oswego, and stolen items were located.

It is believed that the theft was a course of conduct occurring over, at least, the last three years. The approximate value of the items stolen is $13,469.24, however that number may actually be higher.

During the course of the search warrant at the school employee’s residence, police also discovered that he possessed several illegal weapons and ammunition magazines. The male possessed 9 rifles which qualified as assault weapons, and which were not registered or otherwise legally possessed.

In addition to the illegal assault weapons, the male possessed 91 high capacity ammunition feeding devices, in the form of rifle and pistol magazines. All of the magazines are illegally possessed in New York State, had the capacity to hold between 15 and 60 rounds of ammunition, and 48 of them were fully loaded.

On 02/07/23, the defendant surrendered himself to the Fulton Police Department. He is identified as:
