Fulton’s Annual Parent University To Screen Award Winning Film: ‘Resilience’

Families took advantage of the community resource fair at the 2017 Parent University.

FULTON, NY – Fulton City School District will hold the fourth annual Parent University on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at G. Ray Bodley High School.

New this year, Parent University will include two showings of the award winning film, “Resilience.”

Resilience: The Biology of Stress and The Science of Hope chronicles the birth of a new movement among pediatricians, therapists, educators and communities, who are using cutting-edge brain science to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction and disease.

As in years past, parents will have the opportunity to attend several informational sessions and attend student performances.

Families took advantage of the community resource fair at the 2017 Parent University.

The FCSD Board of Education will have members available during sessions for open dialogue.

Breakfast and lunch are provided to all who attend and transportation as well as supervised children’s activities for children ages 4-12 are available at no charge.

Parent University will provide the opportunity to browse FCSD’s community partnerships at a resource fair with more than twenty local agencies represented.

There will be several opportunities to win raffles, door prizes, and giveaways.

Registration for students entering Universal Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten will be available at Parent University.
