FULTON – Today, September 23, the Fulton City School District was notified by the Oswego County Health Department that a G. Ray Bodley High School student tested positive for COVID-19.

The student was last in attendance at school on Friday, September, 18, and the district is working closely with the Oswego County Health Department as they conduct contact tracing with individuals who were in close contact (within 6 feet for longer than 10 minutes) with the student.

“The top priority in the Fulton City School District is student and staff safety,” said Superintendent Brian Pulvino. “We are following all guidance and recommendations from the health department to ensure all proper procedures and safety steps are taken at this time. We will implement any additional action as recommended by the DOH.”

As with controlling the spread of other viruses, we urge everyone to take preventative measures like washing hands regularly with soap and hot water and avoid coughing or sneezing into the air or your hands. As much as you can, avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose.

Our team is closely monitoring this situation and will be in touch with updates as we have more information. Anyone with questions or concerns about COVID-19 exposure can contact the Oswego County Health Department COVID Hotline at 315-349-3330.
