Huhtamaki Supports Catholic Charities

FULTON, NY – Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s food pantry received a welcome donation from United Steel Workers Local # 4-00054 and Huhtamaki that will help bring joy to many families this holiday season.

The union and Huhtamaki have combined to donate 100 turkeys to Catholic Charities’ food pantry for use in their holiday food basket program that provides complete holiday meals to hundreds of families in need throughout Oswego County.

United Steel Workers Local # 4-00054 is donating 50 turkeys with Huhtamaki matching that number for a total donation of 100 turkeys.

“We are happy to support the efforts of Catholic Charities,” said Tom Meucci, director of operations with Huhtamaki.

Andrea McCabe, executive director Catholic Charities of Oswego County, was pleased to accept the donation.

“The donations we receive from caring companies and organizations such as the United Steel Workers Local # 4-00054 and Huhtamaki are very much appreciated,” she said. “Their support makes it possible for us to continue to offer our services to the many families that are in need in our community.”

Catholic Charities of Oswego County serves all people in need regardless of their religious affiliation.

Primary funding sources for Catholic Charities of Oswego County programs are the United Way of Greater Oswego County, the Diocesan Hope Appeal, the County of Oswego and private donations by individuals and local companies and organizations.
