The first annual Mexico Music Festival, Arts & Crafts Fair and Duck Race will be held on Saturday June 21st from 10 AM until 5 PM. The event will take place on the front lawn of the Mexico Academy & Central School High School, Main Street, in the center of the village of Mexico. All music events are free and open to the public.
The duck race will leave the starting pond promptly at 3 PM. First place prize is $500., second place will win $200. third place will win $150., fourth place $100. and fifth place will win $50. Duck race tickets will be available each week until race day at the Farmers Market Chamber of Commerce booth which is held on Mondays from 4-7 PM on the firemen’s field in the village of Mexico.
Featured lawn concert performers are Sam Vaughn, The Kilbough School of Irish Dancers, the Shoeless Band, MACS vocal jazz ensemble, Alyssa Sprague and Cindy Josbena, The 2008 MACS Battle of the Bands Winner, the Goble Sisters, The Lighthouse Worship Team Praise Band, The Mexico Brass and the Syracuse Brigadiers Drum & Bugle Corp and more is planned.
This will be a community fund raising festival brought to you by the Visions For the Future of Mexico, The Greater Mexico Chamber of Commerce and lots of great local music loving volunteers.
