The too-brief life of Reba Landers was honored Thursday night at a graveside memorial service at Fulton’s Mt. Adnah Cemetery, NewsChannel 9 reports.
The 9 month old child died over the Fourth of July weekend of hyperthermia. Police allege the child was left in a camper in the town of Volney on a very hot day.
The child’s mother, Sara E. Landers, has been charged with manslaughter.
Michelle Mason, the child’s great aunt, told NewsChannel 9. “It’s really nice that people showed up to show their respects to her.”
