A group of Kenney Middle School students in Hannibal recently provided the school with signs naming the many hallways of the building.

The project started as a tribute to a special 6th grade teacher, Mr. Jeff LaMont, who passed away unexpectedly over the summer.
During his many years of teaching he had at least 4 different classrooms, but always in the same hallway. It was decided that this hallway should become “LaMont Lane” as a way of showing respect to a teacher who still holds a special place in the hearts of so many students and faculty in Hannibal.
With that decision made, the technology teacher Mr. Greg Bailey, worked with a group of students after school for about a week to create the signs that would be displayed in the hallway in his honor.
With that project complete signs were also made that named the rest of the building.
