FULTON – The City of Fulton has proudly recognized Chris Waldron, the Director of Parks and Recreation, for his incredible achievements and outstanding contributions to the community.
Waldron’s tireless pursuit of excellence has led to the establishment of 23 new recreation programs, each designed to enrich the lives of individuals and families across the community and to provide opportunities for growth, health, and camaraderie.
He has also pioneered innovative approaches to municipal recreation programming, notably as the first Parks and Recreation Department in the world to integrate iRacing technology into our community’s recreational offerings, thereby enhancing accessibility and engagement among our residents.
Waldron’s dedication extends beyond his role as Director of Parks and Recreation, as he has also played a pivotal role as a founding member of the Fulton Special Events Committee, contributing to the vibrancy and cultural richness of the community through the organization of memorable events and celebrations.
His exemplary commitment and achievements have garnered well-deserved recognition, as evidenced by his prestigious recognition as the 2024 Top Young Professional Awards, bestowed by both the Central New York Recreation and Parks Society and the New York State Recreation and Parks Society, affirming his status as a leader and innovator in his field.
