Mexico Teen Charged After Church Break-In

MEXICO, NY – A Mexico teen was arrested Wednesday evening stemming from an investigation into a break-in at St. Mary’s Church in the village of Mexico.

Kyle R. Moore, 16, of 773 state Route 104B, Mexico, was charged with third-degree burglary, a class-D felony.

Police said two gold plated chalices and one silver chalice were taken from the Sacristy room at the church, as well as three vestments and some wine.

Moore was arraigned by Judge Conger and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. He is slated to return to court Nov. 25.
