Nursery School Graduation At Oswego County BOCES

MEXICO, NY – The Nursery School Program at Oswego County BOCES recently held a graduation ceremony for students enrolled in the three- and four-year old classes at the school.

Graduates of the three- and four-year old classes are: front row (left to right): Paul Horton, Olivia Forsyth, Charles Baldoze, Alex Gayne and Gordon Frego. Second row: Clayton Roberts, Alana Rice, Teagan Savage, Aden Renfer, Ethan West, Raymond Bowen and Emma Cronk. Back row: teacher, Missie Nabinger and teacher assistant, Donna Gayne. Missing from photo is Cian O’Neil.The nursery school program is offered through the Early Childhood Education class at Oswego County BOCES which prepares high school students for employment in a variety of child-care settings including pre-school, elementary and special education.

Under the supervision of instructor, Missie Nabinger, high school students help write lesson plans, learn how to keep accurate records, and interact with children throughout the school year.

The three- and four-year old program runs from October through May and offers opportunities for children to attend a two hour morning or afternoon class, four days a week.
