One Dead In Granby Crash

UPDATE:

On 4/16/16 at 11:04 p.m., Frank J. Pierce, 36, of 1176 CR 7, Hannibal, was operating a 2003 Honda motorcycle west on CR 85 in the town of Granby when he reportedly failed to negotiate a curve at the intersection with Ridge Road causing him to lose control and the vehicle to exit the roadway where it collided with an earth embankment and Mr. Pierce to be ejected.  Mr. Pierce was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OSWEGO – On Saturday (April 16), at 11:04 p.m., members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of County Route 85 and Ridge Road in the town of Granby for a single motor vehicle accident.

The investigation has revealed a 2003 Honda motorcycle was being operated in a westerly direction on County Route 85 when the motorcycle left the roadway and overturned before coming to rest north of the roadway.

The sole occupant and operator of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time the name of the individual is not being released pending notification of family members.

Assisting at the crash scene were members of the New York State Police, Granby Volunteer Fire Department and Menter Ambulance.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
