Oswego County Opportunities Welcomes New Employees

FULTON, NY – Oswego County Opportunities recently welcomed their newest employees with an orientation session aimed at acclimating employees to the history, mission and vision of the agency.

As one of the top ten largest private employers in Oswego County, OCO is dedicated to providing their workforce with the training and support they need to excel in their positions with OCO.

From left are: Jennifer Layton, Transitional Living; Crystal Graves, Developmentally Disabled; Shauntelle Farden, Transitional Living; and Sandy Guernsey, Head Start.“Each month OCO’s new employees receive a thorough orientation,” said Jo-Lyn Phillips of OCO. “The orientation session includes both mandated training on topics such as HIPAA Confidentiality, as well as everything they need to know about our agency including, meeting our executive director, Diane Cooper-Currier; learning the organizational structure of the agency; training on the programming of the agency; and discussions of work ethics and expectations. It’s busy a day that prepares them well for their career at OCO.”

OCO serves over 20,000 people each year through more than 40 programs.  The agency employs more than 600 people and has over 1000 highly valued volunteers.
