A Hastings man is facing charges he sexually abused a child for nearly two years.
Joseph V. Thompson, 30, of 852 US Route 11, Hastings was arrested Saturday afternoon by Oswego County Sheriff’s Deputies. He was charged with two counts of felony sexual abuse, a felony count of course of sexual conduct with a child, and a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Police allege he had engaged in what they said were “numerous acts of sexual conduct” with a child 10 years old or younger. The incidents happened between July, 2007 and Spring, 2009, according to police.
Thompson was sent to jail on bail of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. He returns to Hastings town court July 27.
