Radio Personality Perry Noun To Appear At United Way Golf Classic

FULTON, NY – Melanie Trexler, executive director of the United Way of Greater Oswego County, has announced that popular radio personality Perry Noun will be a special guest at this year’s annual United Way Golf Classic.

Noun, host of the popular “Tee Time with the Pro-Noun” radio show will be golfing in the event as well as serving as master of ceremonies Radio personality Perry Noun of Sports Radio 620 WHEN meets with members of the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s golf committee to discuss details of the annual golf classic. “Tee Time with the Pro-Noun” is aired Saturday mornings on Sports Radio 620 WHEN.

The show offers listeners an entertaining and informative golf show that focuses on golf issues, golf personalities, golf fitness, and the rapid changes in golf technology.

The fast-paced show features knowledgeable guests, interviews with PGA and LPGA professionals, and information on both national and regional golf tournaments.

A former executive director of the Northeastern NY PGA and an avid competitive amateur golfer, Noun has won more than 60 amateur golf tournaments (individual and team) and was the 2005 NYS Super Senior Amateur Champion.

“We are pleased to have Mr. Noun back for our golf classic, said Trexler.  “His entertaining personality and knowledge of the game of golf was a welcome addition to last year’s awards banquet.”

Scheduled for July 11, the United Way Golf Classic, one of the most anticipated and largest golf tournaments in Oswego County, will be held at the Greenview Country Club in West Monroe.

Registration fee is only $100 per person and includes a continental breakfast, a classic golf shirt, golf cart, 18 holes of golf, lunch, beverages on the course, and a steak dinner buffet following the tournament.

There will be plenty of giveaways and prizes, with each golfer being eligible for, longest drive and closest to the pin prizes.

Interested golfers will also have the opportunity to sign up for the skins contest.

Entry fees are only $100 per person or $400 per team.

Businesses, or individuals interested in being part of the United Way 2008 Golf Classic can sponsor a hole for only $100.
