OSWEGO, NY – Roberta Barbera has been chosen as American Red Cross volunteer of the month for May 2008.
Roberta’s volunteer service to the Red Cross includes coordinating several Red Cross clubs in Oswego City School District schools and serving on the advisory committee.
She recently coordinated a spaghetti dinner with all of the local Red Cross clubs in order to give them some leadership and fundraising training.
Along with providing a great fun opportunity for the youth the dinner raised more than $2,000 for the American Red Cross.
The volunteer of the month program is underwritten by Dunkin Donuts with the recipient receiving a gift card as an expression of appreciation.
