OSWEGO, NY – On Tuesday investigators from the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office arrested John F. Pendall Jr. of 307 Rathburn Road Lot 19, Fulton, for Vehicular Manslaughter, Second Degree, a Class D felony; Manslaughter, Second Degree, a class C felony; Reckless Driving, Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over a .08 Percent BAC, all misdemeanors; and Speed Not Reasonable or Prudent.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation into a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on September 15, 2011, on Rathburn Road in the Town of Granby.
Pendall, Jr. was operating a vehicle with his father, 46-year-old John Pendall in the passenger front seat.
The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Pendall, Sr. was killed.
Pendall, Jr. was arraigned before Judge Wells in the Granby Town Court.
He was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail / $20,000 bond.
He is to reappear in the Granby Town Court on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
