State Police in Fulton attempting to locate VW sedan involved in hit and run

FULTON, NY – The New York State Police in Fulton are investigating a car vs. bicyclist crash that occurred on State Route 48 in the town of Granby earlier this evening (Jan. 15).

A dark red or maroon colored Volkswagan sedan, possibly a Passat or a Golf, struck a bicyclist on State Route 48 in the town of Granby, just north of the city of Fulton.

This vehicle never stopped and left scene, according to troopers.

The crash occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. and the suspect vehicle was traveling southbound on State Route 48 at the time of the collision.

There should be damage to the front bumper and to the right side of the vehicle.

No report on the bicyclist’s condition was listed.
