State Police make an arrest in Granby Hit and Run

The New York State Police have arrested 21-year-old Kurt M. McArdell (DOB:09/25/91) 9076 Dinglehole Road, Baldwinsville, in connection with the car vs. bicyclist hit and run that occurred yesterday (Jan. 15).

McArdell was behind the wheel of a maroon, 2004 Volkswagen Jetta when he struck the victim, Sistine C. Callen, 10/17/53, who was riding her bicycle on State Route 48 in the Town of Granby, according to troopers.

Callen suffered multiple fractures in the collision and is currently listed in fair condition at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse.

McArdell turned himself into State Police in Fulton Wednesday afternoon and was charged with a Class “E” – Felony:  Leaving the Scene of a Serious Personal Injury Auto Accident and a Traffic Infraction of Failure to Safely Pass a Bicyclist.

McArdell was released with an appearance ticket and is due to appear in the Town of Granby Court on Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. missing or outdated ad config
