Syracuse Symphony Orchestra To Perform At Fort Ontario

OSWEGO, NY – The magnificent sounds of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra will fill the air during a special free holiday performance scheduled for July 6 at historic Fort Ontario.

The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of renowned conductor, Daniel Hege, will continue the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Independence Day Celebration in grand style with a stunning live performing beginning at 8 p.m.

The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra will perform a special Holiday Concert on July 6 at Fort Ontario.For its Independence Celebration performance at Fort Ontario the Syracuse Symphony will perform a program of popular and patriotic music featuring American favorites by Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, John Phillip Sousa and more.

Made possible through the efforts of Assemblyman Will Barclay, in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation – Central Region, this breathtaking performance by the Syracuse Symphony is free and open to the public.

“Having the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra perform in Oswego will be a great cultural and community event for our area residents,” said Assemblyman Barclay. “I am happy to be able to assist in bringing this experience to Oswego.”

“This free concert by the Syracuse Symphony will be a real treat for the whole family,” said Jennifer Hill, executive director of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. “We encourage families to pack a picnic basket, bring a blanket and enjoy an evening of great music.”
