An accident on the state Thruway in Elbridge killed a man from Hannibal.
Michael P. Litzan, 55, of Hannibal was driving along the Thruway at about 8:00 a.m. Saturday, according to State Police.
Police say a car passed Litzan’s Dodge pickup, then pulled back into the driving lane in fron of Litzan’s truck. Litzan reacted by driving off the north shoulder of the highway. His truck hit a mile post marker and overturned.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, Jason Phillips of Baldwinsville, was taken to University Hospital with injuries that police say did not threaten his life.
